Eric began his law practice in 2003 and has earned Martindale-Hubbell’s highest rating, “AV Preeminent,” which is awarded based on review by judges and legal peers and is  awarded to fewer than 5% of attorneys in the United States.  Eric’s practice, like that of the senior members of his firm, is pioneering and has influenced real estate practices in California; he is a noted contributor to the CEB California Mortgages, Deeds of Trust, and Foreclosure Litigation practice guide.

Eric’s extensive legal experience encompasses all facets of real estate litigation and transactional work.  Along with his successful litigation track record, Eric’s achievements in complicated transactional work (involving the leasing and purchase of commercial property, entity formation and corporate governance, borrower CMBS loan negotiations, real property tax appeals, and easement issues) have garnered him a reputation of excellence, commitment, and positive results for his clients.  Eric is considered a leading expert in the state of California on secured transactions and foreclosures; his knowledge and understanding of these distinctive subjects is consistently sought by peers and clients alike.

Eric is a seasoned lawyer with a reputation for being an emphatic, resolute, and ardent advocate for his clients.  Providing the highest quality of work to obtain the best possible results for his clients is of paramount importance to him, both professionally and personally.  Eric has participated in diverse legal forums – mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings before administrative agencies such as the Department of Real Estate – with notable success, earning him the respect and admiration of the legal community in Northern California.

Eric is an avid pilot and maintains FAA licenses as a certified aircraft inspector and mechanic with both airframe and powerplant ratings. Eric and his wife are raising their two young daughters in Willow Glen, where they have lived for the past 10 years.
